Men's Rugby World Cup 2027

What is the ticket Application Phase?

Updated

The ticket Application Phase opened at 15:00 AEST on 19 May and closed at 18:00 AEST on 2 June 2026 and gave you the opportunity to apply for tickets to all Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 matches and all price categories.

It did not matter whether you submitted your application on the first day or the final day of the Application Phase window; the timing of your submission did not affect your chances of success in the Application Phase.

Where demand exceeded availability, all applications for oversubscribed price categories for a specific match were entered into a ballot.

You could only submit one application per account, however, applications may include ticket requests for multiple matches.

You were able to apply for tickets to any of the 52 matches across the tournament, provided that the total number of tickets applied for does not exceed the match-specific ticket limits. Any tickets previously purchased count towards match ticket limits.

You were notified of the outcome of your application via email from 23 June 2026, with payment processed automatically from 25 June 2026.

If payment was not received in full by Tuesday, 7 July 2026, confirmed tickets were cancelled from your ticketing account and released.

Ballot Process

During the Application Phase, where demand exceeded availability, all applications for oversubscribed price categories for a specific match were entered into a ballot. Successful applications were selected at random from all eligible entries, ensuring every applicant had an equal opportunity to purchase tickets.

For each match, you were either allocated all the tickets you requested or none.

All applicants were notified of the outcome of their application via email from Tuesday, 23 June.

All Out Advantage

During the Application Phase, applicants could activate All Out Advantage. When activated, this option allowed you to be entered into a ballot for tickets in the price category directly above or below your preferred price category if you were unsuccessful for a particular match. All Out Advantage, applied to every match in your application and you were required to pay the full amount for any tickets allocated, regardless of whether the final ticket price was higher or lower than the preferred price category selected in your application.

All Out Advantage was not applicable to all price categories or product types and was subject to terms and conditions.

Results

You were notified by email from Tuesday, 23 June 2026 if your application was successful or unsuccessful.

Payments for successful applications were processed from Thursday, 25 June. If payment was not received in full by Tuesday, 7 July, confirmed tickets were cancelled, and tickets were released.
